This research aims at understanding the student experience during the COVID-19 online teaching period (Spring 2020). Several dimensions were covered including: user experience with the learning environment; well-being, stress and emotions; motivation and difficulties in starting a task/staying focused on the task; social presence, community feeling, group awareness and group work; feeling of having acquired new knowledge and skills. The survey was conducted on a large scale, in France (University of Lorraine) and in Switzerland (Universities of Geneva and of Neuchâtel).
